Tips to stay motivated with your weight loss program



If you want to lose weight, you would need to go on a diet and do regular exercise, but it doesn’t mean that it is the most important since there is a still missing piece that would help you to meet your goals. The last piece of the puzzle is known as motivation – without it, there is no way that you could succeed in your weight loss goal.

That is the unfortunate thing about us since most of us doesn’t have the means to stay motivated and we tend to give up soon.  We won’t even see any result at all since we easily give up at what we are doing.  It is easy to go on a diet and exercise for weeks, but without the proper motivation, think you can do it forever?  

When that happened, we are not just going to gain back the weight we lost, but also a few more pounds.  This is how real as it can be and it would be a blow to our self-esteem.   In the future, we might find it harder to lose weight because of the psychological factor.  If we think that we can’t do it then that it is, as we are just going to lose unless we change how we think.

Fortunately, there is always good news and such there is still hope for us. We can still be motivated and focused on whatever we want, but you need to find it and know it first.   When you have this kind of focus – you won’t just lose weight, but you can achieve a lot of things in your life.  It would be easier for you not only to lose weight, but achieve a lot of things in your life.
Staying active with your weight loss program is hard, but you know that it would hep you.  That is a good reason to find something that would motivate you with your weight loss effort.


Here are a bunch of tips to stay motivated:

Your subconscious is what would be holding you back – Of course, we all want to succeed, but subconsciously, you may not be motivated.  Our mind is filled with so much negative that we no longer believe that we can be successful.  There is always a negative inner dialogue hidden deep in our mind that holds us back.  Once, you find yourself thinking about negative thoughts, pause for a second and think about positivity.  Now, this won’t be easy, but once that you get used to it, then it would be automatic.

Find a diet buddy – Alone, we are not that strong to overcome things in our life, but once we have someone that would help us achieve something it would get easier.  Of course, you do understand that no one is perfect and such, your diet buddy won’t be that perfect, so you need to help him too like the way he helps you to overcome things.  The two of you would be the strength of the other thus you would be able to stick with your weight loss and exercise plans.

 Avoid thinking too much about how hard to lose weight – That is your brain telling you to quit. That won’t’ be good, so try to stay positive and focuses on the benefits that you would gain one you lose weight.   Always focus on the positive aspect, so you would be less tempted to go off your weight loss plan.

Take a picture of yourself in the mirror at least, a week – Don’t forget to put the picture to where you would easily see it.  Keep adding picture of you week after week and you would see the difference in your body.  If you can see the progress then you would be much motivated to stay with your current weight loss plan.

Create a blog about your weight loss goals – Write about what you are doing in your blog, so you can monitor how you are doing.  This way, you are able to track the progress have made and be able to defeat your inner demon.  Aside from that, you also get some motivation from other people reading your blog entry.  They are likely to tell you how good you are doing, thus you would be much motivated to stay healthy.

Don’t forget about the reward program – Set something that you can easily achieve, if you have achieved one goal, but yourself something nice.  Overtime, this would be a habit thus; you would really enjoy your weight loss plan.

Don’t easily give up if you fail to meet your goal – No one is perfect, so we need to forget ourselves if we are not able to follow our own plan.  You need to figure out what got you tempted and spend more time exercising.

Working out isn’t fun, but if you can make it fun then that would help – Going to the gym and doing the usual routine seems like a boring workout.  But, you know you need that. Well, if things are getting boring at the gym, you need to find a sport that would give you the workout that you need while having fun.  Aside from the health, benefits, you would also gain new friends.  These are guys are health buffs and would convince you to go out and be active in the sport.

If you are married, have lots of sex with your partner – Sex is not only for feeling good, but it also helps people to burn lots of calories.   It releases some endorphins in to the body.  Here is something new; once you start to lose weight, your sexual satisfaction would be better.

Stay away from temptation – Get rid of the foods that would temp you because that would not help you to become a better you.  Replace it with lots of healthy food from the grocery.  Forget about those takeout and try to cook more.  You would be more successful if there are nothing to be tempted at your home.
