How to know if your weight loss program is good for you?

Weight loss program would be forever one of the best topics anywhere since there are lots of people, who want to lose weight.  Such programs usually falls into two categories: those programs that promise fast results through supplementation and calorie restriction and those that focus on improving overall health resulting in slower but more permanent results.  If you are looking for a weight loss program then you would no doubt want to see fast weight loss. At least, that is what most people would do since they want a quickie result and would not want a slower, but safe and effective.  It is a fact that most of these quick result can lead to gaining more at the end.

Everyone has a say in a healthy weight loss, so be careful with your program. You should know what is right for you, so you would get a long-lasting result and not something that would only be for a short time.
What is a healthy weight loss?
For me, a healthy weight loss is something that you can keep up with for a longer time. You can’t expect to see the results immediately, but you would no doubt keep it for a longer period.  If you want something healthy then you should only lose -3 pounds per week.  Another way to tell if you are losing weight healthily is by measuring your waist to hip ratio.  Take the measurement of your hips to naval, which should be proportional.

How to know if you are losing weight healthily?
You should use a body composition analysis to determine if you are losing weight healthily.  This is by far the best way you can measure yourself since it includes fat mass, lean mass, and body water analysis.  Most people would claiming that they are losing weight, but you can see that there body isn’t proportional.  Remember that you can lose muscle mass if you are not eating healthy.  And if you are losing muscle weight then that is not healthy at all.

How to tell if a weight loss program is healthy?

  1. When you are a diet, you should not eat less than you use to it. You should eat the way you are eating before, but choosing the right food to eat.  Stay away from junk foods.
  2.  Real food should be eaten. When you are at the gym, you would be given some pre-made meals, bars, or supplements.  Even if the trainer told you that it would be good for you, you should not believe them.  These foods are processed food that contains preservatives.
  3. If it sounds too good to be true then that might be the case.   There are lots of propaganda in the weight loss industry and they would do almost anything to make money.  The truth to the matter is that lifestyle is the best way to lose weight.
  4.  Your weight loss program should be closely monitored by a doctor.
